Terra Incognita
 

Medieval cartographers, inspired by Ptomely over a thousand years before, labeled unknown and undiscovered lands as terra incognita on their maps. In my photographic explorations, I seek to discover my own mysterious lands and worlds. Using photographs of our world as raw material, I create photographs of imagined landscapes and worlds project that are evocative of fairy tale and myth, of the quest to explore undiscovered lands, of cosmology and its history, of the shared celestial origin of all in the Universe.  

Terra Incognita includes multiple individual projects. East of the Sun, West of the Moon...Codex Natura....The newest project, Cosmographia
